Party raises $15,000 for Children’s Program

The Society of the Holy Child Jesus extends our heartfelt thanks to the sponsors, madrinas & padrinos, donors, volunteers, and attendees of Casa Cornelia Law Center’s “tardeada event” on Sunday, March 22.  With more than 250 community members in attendance, the event raised over $15,000 for the Law Center’s Children’s Program.  The Program aids and supports unaccompanied children in San Diego County who are fleeing extreme violence from their home countries and seeking safe refuge in the United States.

Established in 1993 by the Holy Child Sisters, the Law Center offers pro bono legal services to victims of human and civil rights violations. Today, the Law Center serves more than 600 individuals every year.
