Excitement, pride, and celebration filled the air as Holy Child College, Abuja proudly turned out in support of one of its brightest stars: a young chess sensation, international ambassador, and champion, during her inspiring book launch event today at the Abuja Arts Galleria.

The brilliant JSS 1 student has continued to make waves in the world of chess, earning recognition through numerous championship victories and tournament successes both in Nigeria and internationally. Her extraordinary talent, confidence and determination have made her a shining role model for young people everywhere and a great source of pride to the Holy Child College family.

One of her most remarkable achievements was participating in the historic 68-hour chess marathon alongside Guinness World Record breaker, Tunde Onakoya in New York USA. Her endurance, courage, and passion for the game captured the admiration of many and further established her as one of Nigeria’s rising chess stars.

The atmosphere at the book launch was truly electric as students, staff and well-wishers gathered to celebrate her success. Her classmates proudly showed up to cheer her on, creating unforgettable moments of joy and encouragement. Also present was the School Administrator, Sr. Genevieve Ibedu, SHCJ whose presence reflected the school’s unwavering support for excellence and talent development.

The event was more than just a book launch – it was a celebration of brilliance, resilience, hard work and the power of dreams. It served as a reminder that with dedication and determination, young people can achieve greatness and inspire the world around them.
