Holy Child Sisters Attend Safeguarding Workshop

4 May, 2026

Recently, two Holy Child sisters participated a safeguarding workshop organized by the Major Superiors of Ghana that brought together designated focal persons to deepen awareness and strengthen safeguarding practices within religious communities.

Participants engaged key issues including abuse of power, cultural attitudes that enable silence, and the need for clear accountability in both Church and civil contexts. The workshop also highlighted growing concerns around the treatment of sisters and lay workers, calling for greater respect, fairness, and responsibility.

With a strong call to action, participants were reminded: “When we see something, say something, and do something.” Emphasis was placed on prompt, concrete responses to all safeguarding concerns to ensure protection, justice, and accountability.
