On Sunday 18 May, the papal ministry of the American-Peruvian cardinal, Robert Prevost, now Pope Leo XIV, was officially inaugurated and celebrated at a solemn Mass in St Peter’s Basilica.

On the night he was elected, Pope Leo spoke clearly of his mission to be a unifier and a builder of bridges, calling the world to peace, through dialogue and encounter, and the church to growth in authentic synodality.

As a Society, we unite ourselves with him and pray for him that his mission in the church and the world will bear much fruit.
