Hope Partnership for Education is a co-sponsored ministry of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus.<\/em><\/p>\n In May, Hope Partnership for Education welcomed 22 professionals from across a wide range of industries for this year\u2019s Career Day, giving students an exciting opportunity to explore future possibilities, build connections, and learn from experienced professionals.<\/p>\n The day began with a networking lunch, where Hope alumni and 8th graders sat alongside presenters and engaged in meaningful conversations about education, career journeys, and personal experiences. The lunch gave students a chance to practice professional communication skills while learning about paths that can lead to fulfilling careers.<\/p>\n Following lunch, the students gathered for a keynote address delivered by Ikram Najid, a local business owner and entrepreneur. Ikram shared her journey, lessons from building her business, and the importance of perseverance, confidence, and believing in potential. Her message encouraged students to think boldly about their futures and the impact they hope to make.<\/p>\n Students then participated in a career fair featuring professionals from healthcare, education, business, public service, technology, skilled trades, and the arts. As they rotated between presenters, students asked questions, explored careers they had not considered, and gained insight into pathways after high school. Volunteers highlighted how reading, communication, and math skills are used in their professions, reinforcing classroom learning and showing the value of academic excellence. Students also engaged in interactive activities and guided prompts that supported conversation, confidence, and engagement throughout the afternoon.<\/p>\n The energy of the day was captured by eighth grader Chyann, a budding photographer whose image is featured above.
