Venerable Cornelia Connelly founded the Society of the Holy Child Jesus in 1846 with the mission, to rejoice in God\u2019s presence and to help people believe that God lives and acts in them and in our world<\/em>. Cornelia\u2019s dream was to inspire her community and others to go out into the world to serve the neediest among us or \u201cto meet the wants of the age.\u201d<\/p>\n

Today, the Sisters of the Holy Child Jesus, reaffirm their commitment \u201cto meet the wants of the age\u201d by advocating and creating a more just and harmonious world through our actions and reverence for all. In 2023, we established the Social Justice Fund to invite our Holy Child schools, ministries, and others to join us in advancing our mission.<\/p>\n

The SHCJ Social Justice Fund welcomes applications for grant funds from organization programs\/projects that strive to meet the social justice issues and needs of our time. These issues and needs include, but are not limited to, climate justice, education, food\/clean water insecurity, gender issues, gun violence, health care, homelessness, human trafficking, and racism.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
