Resources for Responding to the Crisis Facing Our Planet
In the fall of 2006, several Holy Child Sisters met to reflect about ways to respond to the crisis facing our planet. The group came up with suggestions as over arching as “tap the rich resources of our Catholic Christian tradition, our incarnational spirituality, and Cornelian heritage to help us take our rightful place in the Earth community,” and as specific as “promulgate one fact or one suggestion at a time for action to be taken, or one web site which could be accessed directly.” The Society’s American Province Leadership Team have appointed an ad hoc committee to begin taking the next steps toward implementation.

SHCJ Responding to a Planet in Crisis, In order to respond to the crisis facing our planet, we ask ourselves, “What attitudes and behaviors might I change, what actions will I take, what personal transformation is called for?” This is a helpful tool for a personal inventory of what you and your family/community might already be doing to respond, what you might commit yourself to in the future, and what might be implemented for the Society’s American Province.
