Congratulations to the students, faculty, and staff of Cristo Rey St. Martin College Prep in Waukegan, IL, on their brand-new school building!

Through the generosity and support of many, the school converted a K-Mart store that had been vacant for several years into an amazing, functional space. CBS Chicago described the 50,000 square-foot renovation as “the ultimate recycling project.” The building now boasts huge hallways and classrooms, tons of natural light, and state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. The renovated structure has received rave reviews from the students, who were previously crammed into a building that was meant to accommodate only half of the current student body.

Check out this video for a peek of the new Cristo Rey St. Martin’s new building.

For the past three years, 100% of the school’s graduates have been accepted to two and four-year colleges and years.
