The Society of the Holy Child Jesus, located in Rosemont, PA has an immediate need for a full-time Communications Specialist to develop and implement a cohesive communications program that supports the mission and ministries of the Sisters of the Holy Child Jesus. The Communications Specialist will work with the congregation to consistently, effectively, and accurately represent its identity and message across all forms of media. Some of the diversified responsibilities will include: developing, planning and executing communications and marketing initiatives, overseeing the production of marketing materials from concept to completion, developing annual mailings, creating and producing organizational videos, managing the digital communications program, and collaborating with the Development Office on fundraising efforts.
The ideal candidate must be a results-oriented self-starter, creative, flexible, detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, able to work independently and collaboratively with others, and have excellent oral and written communication skills. He/she must have a facility in using various forms of social media, an interest in keeping pace with the latest developments in that area and be able to recommend new forms of technology when appropriate. Additional requirements include five (5) years minimum experience in communications or related field, computer proficiency in Microsoft Applications, and the full spectrum of Adobe Publishing suite. Previous experience in writing, editing, interviewing, photography, video production and social media management will be required. A Bachelor’s degree in communications and/or a related field is required; a Master’s degree would be a definite plus.
