Christ's mission was a mission of mercy and hope. In union with Christ we, the members of the African Province, strive in our ministries to be God's mercy as we carry out our mission of helping others to grow in faith and to experience God's presence, love and hope within them.

To "help others believe that God lives and acts in them and in our world and to rejoice in God's presence” (SHCJ Constitutions #4) we are engaged in diverse ministries in Cameroun, Chad, Ghana and Nigeria. Some of the members minister as teachers, nurses, pastoral workers, social workers, formation and retreat directors while others engage in ministries to support the Province.
