Cornelia Connelly discerned her vocation at the Chapel of the Sacred Heart convent in the church of the Trinita dei Monti in Rome. Ultimately she discerned she was not called to join the Religious of the Sacred Heart at the Trinita, but rather, she was called to begin a new religious congregation for the education of Catholic girls in England. The Society Leadership Team has chosen the Trinita as the site for the generalate's opening Eucharistic liturgy to celebrate Cornelia's 200th birthday. John Cardinal Foley will preside. Cardinal Foley was taught by Holy Child sisters at Holy Spirit School, an American parish school near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the United States.
